Liisa Välikangas

Call it resilience or robustness in Danish. Resilience is the ability to turn uncertainties into opportunities and transforming without a crisis  - learning from events yet to happen. What does strategic resilience require from leaders? How to lead organizations that are resilient in their capacity to change? This talk builds the foundations of resilience in cognitive, strategic and political renewal and presents the pressing organizational challenge to leaders.  

Liisa Välikangas 

Professor, DTU Management pr. 1. marts 2020. Liisa Välikangas kom fra en stilling som professor ved Aalto University og Hanken School of Economics i Helsinki, Finland. Har tidligere været tilknyttet Stanford University, London Business School og Keio University i Japan. Hun har desuden arbejdet som management rådgiver for Strategos Silicon Valley, Californien. Er udgivet en række bøger, herunder The Resilient Organization fra 2010. Læs udvidet CV på engelsk nedenfor.

Professor Liisa Välikangas

teaches strategic leadership at DTU Management. Previously she has been affiliated with Aalto University in Helsinki, Stanford University, London Business School and Keio University in Japan. She has also worked for Strategos and SRI International in California's Silicon Valley. She is known for her publications in strategic renewal and resilience including The Resilient Organization from 2010. 

Liisa Välikangas is Senior Editor of Management and Organization Review, published by Cambridge University Press. She coauthored an early article titled The Quest for Resilience with Gary Hamel published in Harvard Business Review.

Liisa Välikangas have served as a board member of the Finnish National Innovation Agency, Tekes, and have worked with many large and small companies around the world, in pursuit of innovation, strategic renewal and resilience. Her current research interests focus on digital technologies changing management practice.
