HR Law Hotline

Read the following to find out what service our HR Legal Hotline offers (and what it doesn’t cover).

For CfL, HR Law is an integrated part of management. Therefore, we always offer advice based on a holistic approach to the specific case. In this way, we can help companies find a practical solution to the vast majority of HR legal issues.

Who can access the hotline?

Management and HR in CfL’s member companies have free access to telephone advice on HR legal issues, including confidential advice on specific personnel cases. Non-members can take out a 6-month or 12-month subscription to the hotline.

The hotline can be contacted during office hours by telephone or email, and all enquiries are answered by telephone.

What does the service include?

The service covers individual employment agreements in Danish companies based on Danish legislation.

We offer advice on:

  • Employment contracts
  • Holidays, maternity/paternity leave and sick leave
  • Changes in employment terms and conditions
  • Warnings, terminations and severance agreements
  • Protection against discrimination.

As the collective agreements in CfL’s member companies can differ quite considerably, and since the authority to, for example, interpret the agreements rests with the parties, our consultancy service does not cover advice on specific collective agreements. However, we do have a wealth of general knowledge about the collective bargaining system and an extensive network to draw on, and so we can offer useful and practical advice on how to move forward in the vast majority of cases.

What does the service not include?

Our service does not include drawing up legal documents, but we are happy to comment on a draft from your company, e.g.for a warning or a severance agreement.

Outside our service are also advice on:

  • Tax issues, hiring non-Danish employees, secondments, social security, international HR law, etc.
  • Civil servant legislation or The Public Administration Act
  • Intellectual property rights
  • Share and option schemes and incentive-based salary models
  • More complex data protection law issues (GDPR)
  • Agreements with independent consultants.

Additional services

Even if our HR Legal Hotline is not able to offer you exactly the advice you need, we are always happy to help isolate the problem and come up with a proposal for how your company can move forward with the case.

CfL cannot represent your company in legal cases, but we are available to offer advice and input to settle a dispute before it becomes a legal case.

And if your company needs legal assistance, we are happy to contact one of the law firms we work together with.
